Workshop City Soundscapes

Presented by Elektra Venaki

When: Friday 10 June 2016, 15 – 17h

Where: Kinoteka Zlatna Vrata/ Cinematheque Zlatna Vrata

If you would like to learn about film sound practice and theory, with an emphasis on “off screen sounds”, please join us for a workshop led by film expert Elektra Venaki. The workshop will explore how these “off screen sounds” can influence creative decisions for filmmakers, as well as shape the narrative of films. In order to illustrate the theoretical basis of the workshop, examples from recent feature films by Corneliu Porumboiu, Nuri Bilge Ceylan, Thanos Anastopoulos, etc., will be used to reveal representations of filmic soundscapes.
